Traigh Nisabost - Sand Patterns

Traigh Nisabost - Sand Patterns - The Outer Hebrides
February 2010

A slightly unusual minimal composition and taken from a very low perspective in order to make the most of the lines and shapes of these scattered sand patterns. There wasn't much interest in the sky overhead other than the band of cloud at the top of the frame so I opted to condense these elements in the upper third of the frame.

A very long exposure was deployed via the use of a ND filter to flatten the water and complement the minimal look of the capture.
